As an NHS Dentist Dingwall, when we provide you with dental treatment, dentist services, and dental care we use and hold certain information. This privacy policy is to provide total clarity for all involved with Inchvannie House Dental Practice; transparently outlining all that we do with your information, as per the following principles:

What Information Do We Collect?

 

In relation to your Personal Information, we collect: first name, last name, D.O.B, home address, telephone/mobile numbers, email address, NI number, and NHS number. Regarding, your General and Dental Health, we collect: histories of medical, dental, and health; Treatment Plans , Notes, Details, Correspondence , Fees, Payments, and Clinical records pertaining to your care, from all of your past/present treatment providers  (inclusive of X-rays, clinical photographs, and digital scans pertaining to your treatments)

 

The management at Inchvannie Dental Practice are responsible for securing, keeping, and maintain the information we collect (DPO is Mohammed Khan who is responsible for compliance, complaints, and maintenance).

 

For What Purposes?

 

As your Dingwall dentist, we provide you, our patient, with the treatment and care you need. Through this, we require and request up-to-date and accurate information, obtaining your permissions and preferences regarding the means by which we contact you before, during, and after your dental care.

 

To give you the best care we can at our Dingwall dental practice, we send out text and call reminders, as it is in your legitimate interest to be reminded about your appointment. We also send out feedback emails to our patients to allow them to review our dentists, our practice, our environment, and treatment.  It is in your legitimate interest to be able to provide us with information as to how we can improve, where we are doing well, and how we can learn. Both reminders and feedback requests are strictly not used for marketing purposes. For any marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes, your information is used ONLY where you have provided your explicit consent and we have obtained, noted, and confirmed your permission to do so. An instance of this pertains to your voluntary submission of contact details and explicit agreement for a representative to contact you to finalise your registration with our dental practice.

 

Only when it is necessary, and to a minimum, we will only disclose, interact, and share your information with others where it is required either by law, or to ensure your treatment, care, and health is delivered, or any other legitimate interest to do so. For example: this would include the NHS; the DWP if you are exempt from NHS charges; other dental and medical practitioners involved with any stage of your treatment.

 

It is your right to request, obtain access to, and receive a copy of the information we hold, once you have submitted and we have received your request in writing or by email. You should submit your request to the practice in writing or by email. Furthermore, you can request corrections of inaccurate or incomplete data. If you object to, withdraw consent, and or submit a request that we stop using or erase your personal information, we will be unable to continue to provide you with dental care, and it is in your legitimate interest, and a legal requirement of ours, to keep your information pertaining to your medical care and health, indefinitely.
